With regards to screen rotate have you checked that the following setting is ticked?
''Settings > Screen > Auto Rotate.''

Also the screen won't rotate if the keyboard is docked.
With sound, have you tried using headphones to see if there is sound?

+Try the following.
+Use the tablet's backup feature to backup your tablet.
+Then reset your tablet using the factory data reset feature.
+Once your tablet has been reset, see if the touchscreen and the sound work properly.
+If so it may be that either a software glitch or a downloaded app was causing the problem.
+Restore your tablet with the backup you made, using the tablet's restore feature.
+See if the touchscreen and the sound still work.
+If so, the reset has fixed whatever glitch was causing the problem
+If not, perhaps a downloaded app is causing the problem.
+The trick is now to find out which one.
