If the tablet is able to be recognized when plugged into a computer you can transfer any data you have on it to the computer then you can put that data from the computer to the new tablet ,otherwise, you can move a certain amount of data by connecting to another tablet via Bluetooth . But this is only a file share thing you can also move things via the cloud by things like google account sync or other storage syncing sites . If however the tablet thats damaged does not work there is no way to move any data.
