GPS status shows "no fix" after replacing battery.

After replacing the battery, the gps doesnt work properly. When I use "gps test", it showed that the gps could search satellite and many of them were in use. However the gps status showed no fix. Was it hardware problem or software problem? How can I fix it? Thanks in advance.
