There are a few possible answers to this question. It could be the battery, the charging mechanism, or it could be the motherboard. It just so happens that we have a repair guide for the motherboard! This would be  solid option to troubleshoot the issue, because the other repairs are much more involved, and we do not have a repair guide for that at the moment.
