Have you tried plunging in your earphones into another device like an iPod, mp3 player, or stereo system to see if they work?  If they don't work then the problem is with your earphones and not your computer.  Also I would try to connect a different set of earphones or speakers to the earphone jack on the computer to test the jack out to see if it works.  If there is no sound then the problem would most likely be with your computers earphone jack.

To get to Device Manager in Windows 10 to check the sound drivers, right click the Start button and click on Device Manager.   Double click on sound, video and game controllers, right click on each device and click properties and make sure all the drivers are working properly.
