replaced io board, logic board, keyboard; still does not turn on

My MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Mid 2009 died, so I followed the suggestions I've seen on the internet: replace I/O board, since it's cheap; then the logic board; then the keyboard. Still, no dice. Battery in, battery out, doesn't make a difference.
I have multiple power adapters all of which work on other macbook pros.
On this one, the magsafe lights up orange for a bit, then goes out altogether. The level lights don't light up at all.
What should I try next?
