I'm about to order a bare HTC Droid DNA screen from Aliexpress for the sole purpose of using it in a DIY projector, I need to remove the default backlight and would like to know if it is at all possible and - if so - how to do it?
It'll probably look like this http://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-LCD-Screen-For-HTC-Droid-DNA-ADR6435-LCD-Display-Screen-Replacement-Free-shipping-with-Tracking/32310611388.html
I've already found a method for separating the glass screen using dry ice hackaday.com/2016/02/11/dry-ice-is-nice-for-separating-broken-phone-screens/ but I don't know how the backlight is attached in most of the phones, particularly Droid DNA.
Thanks!
