Well if you had a liquid spill the keyboard will go crazy if you don't clean right. To be very clear Apple avoids the warranty for liquid spills in less if they replace your logic board at your expense, could run you from 600 to 800 dollars. And they also add the dots under the case so there aware there was a liquid spill. To start if the MB is working fine, accept for the keyboard, I would recommend you to tear down the book clean it right(make sure let everything dry good, wait a day or two). Also replace the keyboard, you could fine some here on ifixit or on eBay. If you didn't have a backlight maybe this is your chance to put one in. Or just clean that keyboard good, remove all the keys everything make sure you got all that gunk off. Good luck with that.
