On page 77 of the [http://downloads.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_desktop/esuprt_dimension_desktops/dimension-4600_owner%27s%20manual_en-us.pdf|Owner's Manual], the system does support an IDE connection for a hard drive, if this is what you are referring to as regular cables.
If you plan on disconnecting the current SATA drive cables and adding an IDE and cable, page 82 explains how you can add a secondary hard drive.
