A7-50 only starts after restart button is pressed.

I recently started up my unit and it froze. I shut it off and started it again. I couldn't enter my password on multiple tries - the screen was frozen. I shut it off. It wouldn't turn back on. It started apparently normally after I pushed the reset button on the back. It seemed to work well. I have used it several times since. It will only start when the reset button is pushed first. Today it froze on a browser page and the three function buttons were missing. I restarted after the restart button press but this last time it stopped while I was using it and went to the launch screen without any icons.
It's an A7-50 A3500-F running Android 4.4.2. The battery is good and it accepts a charge. I keep it in a hardshell case. It hasn't been dropped or damaged in any way. I will be happy to provide any more information that anyone needs.
I don't know what else to try.
