I was given an asus X502C laptop last week to diagnose after water damage. Initially it turned on but Windows 8 wouldn't accept the correct password, and the keyboard was faulty. The next day, without being touched it decided to boot into bathe American Megatrends BIOS. I'm unable to get it out of this, and it didn't recognise an external cd drive with a Windows disk in it. I've tried 3 different hard drives as the original was making a clicking noise and completely dead. The BIOS recognises the hard drive.

Thanks in advance
P.S. It's the UK version, hence the missing 'A' from the model number.
