thank you so much, after trying it many times, it worked out well. Couple of times i tried grounding it on the side metal body of the ipod but it didnt work. then I came across Rob's picture tutorial tried grounding it on the metal as shown in the pic for 30 seconds then plugged it in and it worked... thank you
