Just replaced my MacBook Air battery with a brand new one bought on iFixit. With the new battery installed the computer won't turn on unless the power is connected.
At that point the battery shows 55% charge with the charging lightening bolt symbol but the charging cord shows green (not charging).
Further when I disconnect the power the laptop immediately shuts off.
