I (stupidly) bought an ipad mini spares/repairs, with the idea of fixing it up, with the help of the pics on here I can see that one of the screw brackets for the little metal sheild round the battery connector has been snapped off. I have read that this might not be such a problem on the original ipad, but I can't get it to charge, would the broken screw bracket stop charging?
