Since I can't see what they look like here are two choices for you regarding rubber components in the Zen Vision M.
-Here is a video showing the ''touchpad'' dis-assembly / re- assembly of a Zen Vision M. At about 1:00 minute into the video it shows the removal of 2 rubber pads. I think that this is maybe what you mean.

Alternatively at about 2:55 minutes into this video it shows what looks like two rubber spacers which seem to be there to hold the battery in the battery compartment.
