One of the antenna cables cutted and solded. No WiFi connectivity.

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

Hello.

Few days ago, the sim tray of mi old iPhone stuck inside, so I had to disassemble it.

I had a lot of problems to do it, and, in the proccess I cut one of the antenna cables, the one that is connected in the middle of the antenna ribbon sheet.

'''Edited:''' Read the actual situation below the first image.

The cable is cutted very closed to the metal cable support in the side of the phone (see the arrow in the photo), and I'm afraid that if the cable make contact with the support, the comunications board (or something else) could be damaged.

What do you think there is the best solution for this problem? maybe cut the cable in the other side of the metal support, and replace this fragment with a new cable?

Thank you very much for the help!

I've read that the two wired are "the same", they are connected to each other and connect the comunications board with the antenna ribbon and the rear case.

I've solder the cutted cable and I've check with a tester the connectivity between the comunications board (1 and 2), the antenna ribbon (the two connectors) (3 and 4) and the rear case (5), all ok. The points are marked in the image.

The problem is that I don't have WiFi connectivity. The GSM coverage is fine, but none the Wifi.

I have the phone disassemble, and I have connected the parts with a wire.

Any suggestions about the Wifi coverage?

Thanks!
