Trying to figure out a way to replace this 9 dollar part (sent my 6d in to CPS for the same issue and it cost 300 bucks. The part was listed as 9 dollars). Don't want to experiment with my number 1 camera. How do I go about safely removing the metal part in the hot shoe that contains the spring clips so I can get to the screws?
