I had the same exact problem where all the deep blacks which show up as red lines. I opened up the back of the Mac bookcase and unplugged the LCD cable in the top right corner.  I then wiped down the connectors with alcohol,  plugged it back in and secured it with the small metal spring. Works perfectly now. Hopefully it'll last.  Thanks a bunch for the tip.
