Hi,

First, have you checked that your charger works? Your new battery may not have enough charge to start your Kindle.

If it is alright you'll probably have to open it up again and check that ''all'' the connections are properly in place.

You've probably been here, but here is an IFIXIT link which shows how to remove your battery.
