Hi there, Just wanted to add some input to a similar problem that I had with my son's 4th Gen Ipod nano! I could reset it, but click wheel didn't work at all when I tried to do anything. I restored, tried the toggle trick, but to no avail! I then ordered a very cheap replacement wheel with flex cable from ebay for only $5.00 and when it came I followed a You Tube video on how to replace it. After replacing the wheel and crossing my fingers and toes, ahhh disappointment!!!! This did NOT fix the problem! SO, I read this forum and a few other and decided that maybe the credit card trick would work! What the $#&!, might as well try! WELL, wish I would have tried it first as it would of saved me the trouble of REPLACING the click wheel. All I would of had to do was take off the bottom of the ipod and insert a piece of a credit card under the wheel. (make sure you wedge it under the whole setup as to not disconnect the wheel or brake something important)Slide the piece under the ipod cable jack at a slight angle to be sure you get it under everything so it is only pushing against the back of the ipod case and the wheel assembly! This worked so fast! Thanks for all the input from everyone and I hope you all find my post helpful as well!
