I am experiencing the following issue: "''Double-sided scanning always produces a stray vertical line that runs for the entire length of the backside of a scanned image.'' "

The folks at Neat suggested the following:

''First, let's go through the cleaning process. Please select the link below for your model scanner and follow the steps provided.

For Neat Desk click here

http://www.neat.com/helpcenter/cleaning-neatdesk-scanner/

For NeatMobile click here:

Next, you will want to calibrate the scanner with a sheet of plain white printing paper or the provided calibration paper.

To calibrate your scanner:

Open Neat, connect your scanner and click Tools>Scanner>Calibrate in the top right corner of your screen.

*Note: Please follow the onscreen instructions on calibrating your scanner.

Once the scanner has been successfully calibrated, please try scanning once more.

(Mobile Scanner - Scan with the image you would like to capture face down.)

(Desktop Scanner - Scan with the image you would like to capture face up, facing towards you)''

The problem still persists, so I am inclined to think that there is a mechanical issue related to the roller on the left-side of my desktop scanner. Not sure what to do next.
