Touch not responding after replacing cracked glass in Lumia 820

I accidentally dropped my Lumia 820 and have a cracked glass which was not responding to touch except for the right top 1 inch which responds. So, I recently brought a new replacement glass/digitalizer which I replaced. However, after replacing the new glass, touch is not responding?
What could be the possible reason(s)?
