Converting to "Cinema Display" - DisplayPort capable

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

I have a Thunderbolt display and bought the new MacBook 12" with USB-C. And frustratingly enough, there does not seem to be a path were Thunderbolt is included as a dongle/adapter of any sorts. After googling a bit, I came across this on StackExchange http://apple.stackexchange.com/a/191139 - claiming that the Thunderbolt display would be convertible to a DisplayPort, but looking at the tear-down of the Thunderbolt display I can't quite figure out how that would be possible.

Can anyone confirm or not that this is possible?
