Replace mid-2012 Air top case assembly with mid-2013 model possibility

Hi,
A year ago I've spilled a little wine on my mid-2012 Air. I had to clean some of the keys, keyboard backlit became uneven and power button is not working since then (have to close and open the lid instead). However everything else is just fine and I was more or less happy with everyday use and was postponing buying a replacement top case assembly.
Recently the microphone quality strongly degraded (nobody can hear me on skype and I have to use a headphones with mic). This has also happened before (during the warranty period) and Apple had the mic replaced that time. So I guess microphones are just crappy on the mid-2012 Air, and this is why they replaced them with dual-mics on mid-2013 model?
Now, the question is can I replace my A1466 top case (mid-2012) with A1466 top case from mid-2013 which has (I hope) better mics (and also cheaper now). I'm talking about buying a top-case assembly with keyboard, backlit, speakers and microphone. Or should I replace with the same one?
I looked through this [guide|15042] and it says that these two laptops are indeed nearly identical (different mics is one of the distinctions). But I'm not sure.
a) Are all of the screws have exactly the same positions?
b) does the new dual-mic have the same interface as the old one? If so, will it work properly with old motherboard (noise reduction and other benefits of dual-mic)?
Thank you for your advise!
