Why isn't my home button and pull down bar working

so I updated my boost max yesterday, it said I have software updated so I updated everything and now my notification pull down bar does not work, and I can't press my home button to minimize everything. I have to hit the back key to get out of everything.. I cannot pull down my notification pull down bar!! somebody please help me!!!!
