This happens because of loose connection between backlight coil and the motherboard, so smacking it might only work for a short time...if you want a more permanent solution (or if a smack didn't help :)), you can try this at no cost: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfPuj7vUTOI ... It worked for me, so I hope someone else will find it useful as well :)
