GoPro Hero3+ Black Wifi appears fried after water damage recovery

My GoPro Hero3+ Black edition got damaged due to failure of the waterproof housing and after I got a full warranty decline from GoPro support, I decided to take the camera apart and try to fix it.
I did it and from a dead camera I ended up with an almost 100% functioning device 2 hours later. Everything works just fine, but the wifi appears to be always on (no matter what I do from menus or wifi button pressing) but without actually transmitting (no RC or GoPro App conectability).
Any ideas?
