Overheating Mac Mini 2011 after RAM upgrade

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

Hi all,

Today I've updated my Mac mini's RAM from the standard 4GB 1333MHZ DDR3 Memory to 16GB 1600MHZ DDR3 from Corsair [http://www.corsair.com/en/vengeance-16gb-high-performance-laptop-memory-upgrade-kit-cmsx16gx3m2a1600c10|(Corsair Vengeance)]. The Mac mini boots properly and everything works fine... but suddenly the Mac is overheating A LOT. Is there any problem with speeds or voltages of the RAM? Setting the fan manually to almost 5k RPM the Mac mini stops overheating and stays in around 50ºC.

Any help would be much appreciated.
