As you can see in the picture, the RAM slot is built into the logic board:  http://www.ifixit.com/PowerBook-Parts/G4-Aluminum-15-Inch-1-5-GHz-BT-2-0-Logic-Board-/IF154-116

You can replace the logic board or try taking  it to an old repair guy with lots of experience to see if he cant straighten out the contacts.
