the only way to get it out is to disassemble the ipod and push the tip out with a needle or something like that.

you can use the [guide|1157|teardown] as a guide - but be aware, it's possible that there are steps missing in the teardown - so it would be good to use the [guide|1163|logic board guide] from the 4th generation as a second reference
