It's actually very simple. I was trying to fix a similar problem on my pair, after doing a complete tear down, figuring it out as i went, i figured it out. Simply twist the ear pad on the right ear cup off, then remove the three small Phillips screws. After that you have direct access to the battery and can unplug, and replace at will
