Need to remove and replace the SIM card periodically

Occasionally, I have no service on my MOTO G phone. The phone MAY say "INSERT SIM CARD". I have to remove the protective cover and back then remove the SIM card and reinsert it. It will work fine for about two weeks then quit again. The SIM card appears to be inserted fully and was not loose.
