I have a 2013 MacBook Air 13" and there was some water spilled on it. I took the computer completely apart and cleaned it with Isopropyl Alcohol. The computer turns on but the fan starts immediately and the systems performance is very slow. I tried an SMC reset by removing the battery and following the necessary steps but nothing changed. I am thinking that maybe the SMC chip still has water damage. I need help finding where it is located and what is recommended? Should I heat it up or replace the chip entirely?
Thanks
