I had the same problem! If you look on the [[Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX7 Troubleshooting|troubleshooting page]], you will see how to fix it! I just got mine and the screen was black. I thought it was already broken! Silly me, I didn't know you had to charge it once you get it! This page really helped! Hope this helps!
