I have a HP Portable Hard Drive WDBACZ7500ABK and it fails to load. It started failing for the start. The USB 3 connector was never very reliable. I have included some pictures of the hard drive striped of the enclosure.

If I connected, the drive works and the light is on, but it doesn't load in the desktop. I been trying all short of stuff with what I have, but no luck.

I think that I just need to change the board or the connector. Could this be the issue? how can figure the issue at hand?
