The price for this repair varies widely. Sony charges around $150 or more to do this repair while other repair shops charge a lot less. My repair shop charges $89.99 (parts, labor and return shipping) and there are others that are probably in that same price range.
Just be very careful with where you take it or send it. I get consoles in here all the time where someone has already tried to fix it and hasn't been able too...just today I had to fix one where someone tried to use some sort of epoxy to "glue" it back on...that didn't work so well!
Anyway, the point is that it's a difficult repair unless you have a good amount of electronics repair experience so just make sure that the person who fixes it knows what they're doing.
