Follow the guides for the motherboard replacement and then remove the two screw on either side of the home button bar and the single screw on the bottom center of the phone. Now that the two screws have been removed, the outer plastic around the bottom of the device can be peeled away. After that there are two plastic covers over the charge port assembly that can be peeled away. Keep in mind that there is a lot of adhesive on these parts and it will take time and patience to remove them and the device will no longer be water resistant.
