The Microsoft Band isn't completely waterproof. Though it meets the IPX7 standard in testing, the Microsoft Band is not intended to be immersed in water and immersion is not covered by the warranty. Light rain or hand washing shouldn't harm it, but immersing it in water can damage and impair the screen, microphone, and batteries. Try not to wear it when you're swimming, washing dishes, or taking a shower. You can replace the damaged parts by following the guides for the [guide|38109|Battery Replacement], the [guide|37635|LCD Screen Replacement], or the [guide|37750|Sensor Ribbon Replacement].
Additionally, if the Microsoft Band is dropped or receives an impact, its water resistance may be impaired or weakened. Take care to avoid sudden shocks.
