I have this ibook G4 and i put linux on it, it work great but some website slow the machine a lot (like with javascript applet), 720p video is almost not working, and the machine is very hot, ventirad work a lot and often.

Would like to know if you think it worth to open it, change to a PATA SSD (32go Pata SSD should be ok ? or 64Go ssd better knowing the machine have now 64go hdd ?

Clean it,

change 512MB RAM to 1GO RAM.

I would like to use it as a normal computer,

but i would like it working good with consuming website (not very, just with a lot of aplet or like that), multiple browser pages open, etc..
