Street pass glitch after repair

I replaced a circle pad on my 3DS XL but found that my street pass function was not working properly after this. Is there a specific area inside the console connected to the street pass function that I can go back in and check on? Maybe I disconnected something while I was in there changing the circle pad and didn't notice before I put the console back together?
