Is docking port on motherboard easily replaceable?

I was removing u shaped docking port flex cable from the mother board and my tweezer caught the gate of the flex cable connector and pulled it off when removing the tape.
Can I just replace the piece that the flex cable slides into?
I've ordered a new U-shape flex cable and the PCB board side is good.
The piece attached to the motherboard is damaged.
I can't find this piece online except on a new motherboard. Can I get a PCB board (docking port signal plate) and rob the connector off of that and put it on the motherboard?
