Use iBook g3 keyboard as external USB keyboard?

Hi. I wondered if it's possible to disassembly the ibook G3 keyboard and connect it somehow to another computer via USB cable. I know the keyboard in the G3 uses a non standard ribbon cable, but maybe it can be linked to a USB interface; am I just dreaming?
