Seeing as my 2010 Mac Mini doesn't support Continuity or Handover, I was wondering whether it is possible to upgrade the Bluetooth on this model, possibly by replacing it with a replacement for the 2012 or 2014 model. Has anyone tried this, or are the form factors different making it impossible?
I believe OS X can be hacked (editing a .kext file), but the tool I've seen suggests that this doesn't work with a USB dongle bluetooth adapter, leaving replacing the internal version as the solution.
I really want to use these features, but don't want to replace my Mac Mini just yet. Any pointers gratefully received.
