You might have accidentally damaged the pin connector of the front camera, as I did when I replaced my screen. Either by pressing the cable too hard and incorrectly placed down when reconnecting, or when prying the cable off. If you look very closely at the pin connector for the front camera, you will see if one of the small pins of the connector are gone/flat/otherwise deformed. They are after all very delicate, as I recently experienced.
