Convert internal display to external display

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

I have an a Late 2009 model 27" iMac (with the Core i7 chip if that makes a difference). In the process of installing an SSD in place of the optical drive, I managed to pull of the LCD panel connector from the logic board. The display itself still work, but obviously doesn't communicate with the iMac properly anymore (I can sometimes get it to work...but only sometimes). In any case, my question is, since the display itself is still functioning, does anyone know if there is a case or something I can put the LCD panel to convert it to a thunderbolt or mini display port (or even a DVI!) external display that I could then use on another computer?

The panel is an LG, model # LM270WQ1(SD)(A2) - not sure if those last two items in parenthesis are part of the model # or not.

Thanks for your help!
