Blade SSD replacement with a standard SSD thin model possible?

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

For those of you who've worked with this model, I'm sure it has at least crossed your mind... the space provided for the blade SSD (and its carrier adapter) is by far large enough for a standard thin SSD (like a Samsung EVO, 840 Pro, etc). Has anyone tried to alter the adapter carrier and replace the Blade SSD with a standard SSD? If not, any ideas on adapting the SSD cable to a standard drive 2.5" SSD?

Thanks!
