Can I repair a broken display without replacing it?

Hey guys!

I dropped my Surface RT what led to a broken glass in one of the corners.

The functionality of the touch display is not disturbed (except one little part on the left side).

As a new display is quite expensive i would not like to replace it.

But I am still afraid that some kind of moisture or water or sth. elese could get into the display...

My question is can i repair the broken point with some kind of glue or whats the best way to protect it from more damage?

Thanks a lot for reading this!

greetings Manuel
