I just wanted to share my experience, in which checking the battery saved me from dumping a MacBook Pro that might be outdated but with SSD and FusionDrive still beats the new MacBook of my wife...Your explanaition (cheap battery lying to coconutBattery) however makes perfectly sense...

So lets sum up: Check your battery, if problem is not solved, repair/replace the logic board....
