Nathan Morris, that is a mighty tall order for a single book. I would lower my expectation and try to find a book for may be a specific group of things. "How to Diagnose and Fix Everything Electronic" by Michael Geier or "A Beginners Guide to Consumer Electronics Repair: Hand Book and Tutorial " by Douglas Kinney might be a good start. One of my favorites is "Valve Radio and Audio Repair Handbook" by Chas Miller. If you narrow your search you will find that the reading becomes much more specific and interesting. Do not expect any book to teach you all you ever wanted to know, only practice and experience can do that. Hope this helps, good luck.
