I am just a student working on these repair guides, but to the best of my knowledge, that RF module is the only RF related device in the Xbox. If removing it entirely still allows the Xbox to operate, I would do that. I think it would be very hard to just remove the RF chip from that board.

The board should be exclusively RF related hardware and I think it can be taken out entirely while still being able to use the Xbox.

That module is the connection to the button board and can't be removed entirely. I also do not know how to remove or disable the RF chip alone. Our Xbox we get to work on is not functional, but maybe there is an option in the software to disable the RF.
